العراق تعتبر واحدة من أقدم الثقافات في العالم تاريخياً، وبلد العراق هو المكان الذي يطلق عليهِ قديماً بلاد ما بين النهرين وموطن نشأة الحضارات القديمة

و تشهد رياضة بناء الأجسام في العراق أو كما يطلق عليها بالعامية كمال الأجسام إقبالاً متزايداً من قبل الشباب العراقي سواء أكانوا من المحترفين أم الهواة

ماأجمل تاريخك يالعراق إن كان بالثقافة والفن والرياضة التي شهدت لهم المنصات الرياضية 

دخلت رياضة بناء الأجسام إلى العراق في ستينيات القرن الماضي وتأسس أول اتحاد لها عام 1972، واحترفها كثير من العراقيين وحققوا ألقاباً عالمية آنذاك، كان أشهرهم علي الكيار وعباس الهنداوي وطالب شهاب. وخالد القيسي واحمد الربيعي وعماد جاسم وغيرم من نجوم هذه الرياضة فى العراق والعالم العربي الشهرة العالمية والمحلية عن طريق تقوية العضلات أحد الأسباب التي تدفع محبي هذه الرياضة لممارستها، كما هو الحال

البطل القدير الكابتن الدولي أحمد الربيعي والذي واجهات القاعات لكبار الرياضيين المشهورين عالمياً في هذه الرياضة في حركات تجذب المارة بصورة عامة والهواة على وجه الخصوص.بدأ مشواره الرياضي اواخر عام 1969 في نادي الشباب الرياضي وبأشراف المدرب المرحوم عبد اﻻحد بطرس المشهورانذاك فهو كان يشرف على تدريب البطل العالمي علي الكيار واخرين غيره ، ومنذ ذلك العام لحين انخراطه بالخدمه العسكريه اﻻلزاميه والتي دامت ثلاث سنوات ونصف خاض بطوﻻت محليه كثيرة تناوبت مراكزه بين اﻻول والثاني لبطولة النادي ناشئين ومتقدمين وبغداد والمنطقه الوسطى ، اما بطولة العراق للشباب هيمن على المركز الاول لعامين متتاليين بطوال القامه من عام 1970وعام 1972 وبعدها وبسبب الخدمه العسكريه انسحب الى قيادة قوات بغداد بصفة رباع لعدم وجود بناء اجسام بالجيش فاضطر الى ترك لعبته واﻻتجاه الى رفع اﻻثقال كونها قريبة الى لعبته ، وتقديرا لبطوﻻته انذاك اشرف على تدريبه الاستاذ صباح عبدي ضمن الفريق واقيمت بطولة العراق برفع الاثقال محرزا المركز الاول ، وبقي بالجيش لغاية منتصف عام 1975حينها تسرح وعاد من جديد الى بناء اﻻجسام ، مكتسباً بذلك قوه من ممارسته لرياضة رفع الاثقال وتغيير ملحوظ وخلال ستة اشهر تقريباً

اصبح جاهزا لاي تصفيه او ترشيح ،

وبالفعل جرت بطولة العراق للمتقدمين واحرز المركز الثاني لطوال القامه بعد البطل عباس الهنداوي وبأشراف المدرب سعدون الحيدري الذي تولى تدريبه بعد المرحوم عبد اﻻحد بطرس عام1971  والذي خاضالعديد من  المنافسات التي جميعها سجلت بالذهب  على الصعيد المحلي مع ابطال امثال المرحوم خالد القيسي واخرين وعلى اثر هذه المنافسات وجد نفسه يباري كبار اﻻبطال وفي عام 76 قرر الاتحاد ان يمثل العراق في بطولة اسيا فرشح الى بطولة اسيا في باكستان كافضل مركز ثاني بطوال القامه وسافر مع المنتخب الوطني وكان مدرب المنتخب انذاك المرحوم محمود السعيدي ، ولكن كان كلاعب احتياط مع المنتخب

في بطولة آسيا الذهبية وذالك بعام 1980 .والتي كانت فى اندونيسيا الذهب وفى عام 1981 والتي كانت فى  ماليزيا نعم الذهب يتصدر

عام 1981 عام اﻻمجاد يعتبر له حيث اشتدت المنافسه بينه وبين البطل العالمي سيد اسيا والعرب والشرق اﻻوسط عباس الهنداوي بالطبع فإن ذلك الوصف " الزمن الجميل " يعطيك انطباعا بأنهم يقصدون أن زمانهم هذا لم يصبح جميلا , مقارنة بتلكم الايام الجميلة الفائتة من العقد الماضي او قبل الماضي او الذي قبلهما .، فكان التحدي والسجال الحاد بينهما اثناء التمرين وجرت التصفيه ﻻختيار المنتخب لبطولة اسيا فحصل على المركز الاول وعباس الهنداوي ثانياً وداود سلمان الثالث فـقـفزت شعبيته الى اعلى درجاتها وكانت اول خساره لعباس الهنداوي بالعراق فما كان منه بعد اعلان النتيجه اﻻ ان اعتلى منصة التتويج واوقف الهنداوي معه بالمرتبه اﻻولى ورفع يده وصرخ باعلى صوته بان عباس بطل بطل ويبقى بطل ورفض ان يقف ثانيا بجانبه ،

عام 1982 لاشك أن هناك ترديا في الأذواق عامة , كما أن هناك ترد وتراجع على مستويات كثيرة ومختلفة , جعلت من الايام التي نعيشها اياما ثقيلة , كثيرة المعاناة , فهموم الأمة تتزايد , وهموم الأفراد وأحزانهم لا تنقطع .

والفالزمن الجميل لم يكن يوما هو زمن الفن الساقط , الذي جاء به الممثلون فنشروه في ربوع بلادنا , ولا زمن الأغنيات والآهات التي ملأت إذاعاتنا وشاشاتنا عبر السنين .

فالزمن الجميل لم يكن يوما هو زمن متخلف للرياضة بشكل عام ولكن التطور والتقدم العلمي والتكنلوجي هي اللي وصلت الرياضة للقمم و الذي جاء به الرياضيون  فنشروه في ربوع بلادنا , ولا زمن دون رياضة ولكن كانوا بعنفوان الرياضة والآهات التي ملأت إذاعاتنا وشاشاتنا عبر السنين .والإلى المستقبل أو الماضي، إلى الزمن الذي يكون فيه الفكر حراً طليقاً، إلى زمن يختلف فيه الأشخاص عن بعضهم البعض ولا يعيش كل منهم في عزلة عن الآخر وإلى زمن تظل الحقيقة فيه قائمة ولا يمكن لأحد أن يمحو ما ينتجه الآخرون. وإليكم من هذا العصر الذي يعيش فيه الناس متشابهين، متناسخين، لا يختلف الواحد منهم عن الآخر. من عصر العزلة، من عصر التفكير.عصر الرياضة والربيعي  و الكالعادة كان محتفظا بمركزه المتقدم محليا ، وشد رحاله الى طوكيو رحلة العذاب والخساره فرقياً العراق ﻻول مره ثانيا بعد اليابان وكانت الميداليه الفضيه للوزن الثقيل من نصيبه ،وفي عام1983 حصل على الفضيه للوزن الثقيل واستعاد العراق اللقب من جديد وكانت تضحيته هي احدى التضحيات التي قدمها المنتخب بنزوله من فوق الثقيل الى الثقيل تاركا ذهبية كان

اليوم تغيّر كلّ شيء. لكنّ جيل الثمانينات والتسعينات لا يزال يتذكر بحنين هذه الأيام الدافئة، حين كان العالمُ لا يزال "إنسانياً" جداً وواقعياً جداً.

وفي عام 1984 يخسر العراق بكوريا الجنوبيه ونال البرونزيه للوزن الثقيل

ولم يكن غريبا ان يصدر الأهرام العراق من جنوبها لشمالها للرياضة عنوان ومن كبار الرياضيين  والكل  معهم اشرف على النواحى التنفيذية فى الرياضة بالعراق  وكانت ميلادا جديدا بالنسبة لى ان اتولى مسئولية الصفحة كاملة وسط هذه الكوكبة من رموز العراق العظيم.. كان من الصعب بل من المستحيل ان تجد هذه الكوكبة رغم كل ما بينها من التنوع 

وفي عام 1985والذي  سافروقتها العالمي أحمد  الربيعي بافضل مستوى ونال الفضيه لفوق الثقيل بكولومبا سريﻻنكا

وحصل على الفضيه في عام 1986 بتايوان للثقيل وعام1987 بماليزيا مره اخرى فضيه للثقيل ، وعام 1988 بسنغافوره الفضيه لفوق الثقيل

وعام  1989 باليابان مره اخرى بتاتوري الفضيه ايضا بالثقيل

عام1990حرم من المشاركه باسيا وحتى العالم التي كانت مؤكده بفرنسا بسبب الحصار اﻻقتصادي وانحرم العراق من كل المشاركات الخار جيه ماعدا اللقاءات الوديه على مستوى انديه وهذا مما جعله يفكر باﻻعتزال ﻻن اللقاءات الوديه ﻻتناسب سمعته وبعد دخول عام1999 اكمل 22سنه بهذه الرياضه الجميله اي من عام 1969ولغاية 1991 فقرر اﻻعتزال بعد حرب الخليج اﻻولى

هي أشياءُ بسيطة لكنْ جميلة وممتعة وأخاذة. أشياءُ لا يعرِفها جيل الألفية الثالثة، وربما لن يعرف الاستمتاع بها، في عالمٍ أصبح الجميعُ فيه متسمّراً أمام شاشة هاتفه الذكيّ. تعرّف بعضاً من أجمل ما احتفظت به ذاكرةُ جيل الثمانينات والتسعينات في العالم العربيّ و هي قصصٌ علّمتني الحياة، والشجاعة، والمغامرة وقيم الخير والمحبة والجمال وان المكان يمثل شيئا كبيرا بالنسبة لى انه انفاس احتوتها جدران ونوافذ انه قلب يخفق ولا تدرى من ينبض بالآخر هل قلوبنا هى التى تعطى المكان الإحساس والمشاعر ام هو المكان الذى نصبح مع الأيام جزء منه .. لايوجد عمل بلا هدف أو غاية هناك من يعمل لكى يعيش وينتج ويشارك وهناك ايضا من يعمل لكى يبدع شيئا جديدا لم يعرفه الناس من قبل .. وهناك من يعمل لأنه يجسد احلاما فى إنسان اجمل ووطن ارقى وزمان اكثر ترفعا وقيمة ..

محليه بتفوق وامتياز وعام 2007 حصل على شهادة تدريبيه تحكيميه من مؤسسة بن ويدر الدوليه بمصر شغل منصب امين سر اﻻتحاد المركزي عام 2005 وقدم استقالته لاسباب خاصه ، خارجا بمنصب خبيراً باﻻتحاد ،

ولم يفارق التحكيم والتدريب من عام 1991 ولحد يومنا هذا ،، والجدير بالذكر انه عام2001 شغل منصب مدير المنتخبات وبعدها مدرب منتخب بغداد عام 2002 وخبيراً باﻻتحاد عام2006 الى عام 2007 وحاليا من الرواد

و لم يعرف التاريخ بقعة على وجه الأرض كالعراق؛ مهد الحضارات، وأرض العلم، وشمس الروحانيّة، وموطن الصالحين، وقبلة العظماء، فالعراق جَمَعَ المجد من كافة أطرافه، واستطاع أن يحفر اسمه بحروف من ذهب على صفحات التاريخ، حتى باتت هذه البقعة الأكثر تميّزاً، وألقاً، وإشراقاً من بين سائر بقاع الارض وهناك العديد من المزاياو

مزايا العراق التاريخية والدينية أنه ارتبط بأبي الأنبياء إبراهيم -عليه السلام-، حيث تعتبر هذه الأرض أرض ميلاد هذه الشخصيّة العظيمة، التي أحدثت أكبر الأثر في مسيرة الإنسانيّة. ومن مزاياه الجغرافية احتواؤه على اثنين من أعظم الأنهار وهما: دجلة، والفرات، إذ أسهم هذان النهران في نشوء الحضارات وتركّزها في منطقة العراق

للنّجاح أناس يُقدّرون معناه، وللإبداع أُناسٌ يحصدونه، لذا نقدّر جهودك المُضنية، فأنتَ أهلٌ للشّكر والتّقدير ووجب علينا تقديرك، لك منّا كلّ الثّناء والتّقدير. تتسابق الكلمات وتتزاحم العبارات لتُنظّم عقد الشّكر الذي لا يستحقّه إلّا أنت، إليك يا من كان له قدم السّبق في ركب العلم والتّعليم، إليك يا من بذلت ولم تنتظر العطاء، إليك أهدي عبارات الشّكر والتقدير ..
